Due to their convenience, pop up gazebo canopy outdoor has become more and more popular in many outdoor occasions. But since they are always exposed to the elements, over time and time, the gazebos naturally become a magnet for dust, grime, mold and mildew. In order to keep your gazebo looking good and ensure the long-term use, cleaning your gazebo canopy once or twice a year is really necessary. Now let’s see how to do this clean job.
.Choose a warm, sunny day to wash your gazebo. The warm sunshine will help it dry more quickly, and therefore prevent your cleaning from potentially causing more mold and mildew to grow on the gazebo.
.Use a broom or brush to sweep off loose dirt and debris from all sides of the canopy.
.Fill the bucket with warm water and add mild detergent. Agitate the water until it is mixed completely and suds begin to form. The dirtier the canopy is, the more soap that will be required. You may probably need more than one bucket’s worth of the solution to clean an entire gazebo canopy, so you can make more solution as necessary.
.Dip a soft haired broom into the soapy water and brush it onto the canopy. Scrub gently with the broom to remove the mildew and stain build up. It’s likely that you will come across some stubborn areas. Then you need to moisten a sponge with the soapy water and scrub carefully.
.After brushing the whole canopy, you should rinse the cover completely with clean water to remove all of the soap residue. Make sure you have rinsed it thoroughly.
.If you find there are still some stains or dirt, repeat step 4 and 5 as necessary until it is absolutely clean.
.Place the gazebo canopy in the sun to wait it dry completely.
